Sarah Turton

Sarah moved to Cornwall in 2005 to 'be more creative'. In the first year spending most days roaming the cliffs between Mousehole and Lands End, watching as the brown of winter becomes the yellow of spring daffodils, a summer of pink Campions. Her main project - her novel, 'Beyond the Lemon Tree'.

Sarah spent the winter in St Just and began to paint as the new year broke in. Discovered the transformation at work in her work. Later discovered a physical transformation inside her self - twins. Pursued her interest in alchemy, the search for the red elixir. Immortality and the process of creating gold. It fell off her paintbrush and onto the board. Found throwaway items, forgotten, treasures, changed them, made something new. Something borrowed something blue.

"I am perched high over the sea, the sun bringing a pink flush to my white winter cheeks. My first small collection of paintings is finished as is my novel and the sky is clear and blue. Just like the sky in a childhood memory."
