Sally A Tully

Having come from a background in graphic design, Sally was approaching 40 before she discovered what is now her passion - ceramics.

She is currently doing a Foundation Degree is Applied Arts at Plymouth College of Art and design

She says that opening the kiln after a firing is like having Christmas Day over and over. The colours and patterns that are on each pot are the play of fire and nature on the ceramic surface, with a little skill and a lot of luck mixed in.

The highly burnished surface of these vessels are extremely tactile and invite people to pick them up and hold them, which is part of the joy of them.
