Inka Gabriel

Born 1963 in Cologne Germany Apprenticeship to be a Glazier successfully completed 1989 Moved to London and worked in the Stained Glass Shop Wandsworth for 3 years then moved to Devon 1992.
Found time to have three children while keeping working on and off during this time, mainly making leaded lights.
Started to make her lamps 4 years ago, inspiration one sheet of white glass and a handful of pebbles collected on the beach.

The white opaque and opalescent glass is inset with pebbles, crystals, shells, slate and occasionally antique glass. All of the lamps are set on a wooden base of oak, ash or elm.

She now has her work in a number of galleries and shops in the South Hams, North Devon and Cornwall
